Announcing "Signs of Autumn"

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. The air turns crisp and cool, pumpkin patches and apple orchards start up for the season, and nature paints its own canvas with the fall foliage. I wanted to do a piece that represents some icons of the season.

Here in Iowa we are fortunate enough to have all four seasons. There is nothing like driving through the countryside and seeing all of the trees in their fall colors almost glowing with reds, oranges, yellows and different shades of browns with touches of green. Another highlight is visiting the apple orchards with all of the different varieties of apples and of course you have to have some apple cider. To top it all off a trip to your local pumpkin patch to pick out a nice big orange pumpkin for the coming holidays. Not to mention the variety of gourds and Indian corn. I hope you enjoy this piece and maybe it will remind you of some things you like about the season.
